Ways we can work together

When change feels like it's being forced on you

When change feels like it's being forced on you

Mark* is a successful doctor; by every visible measure, his life is working.

His wife has told him that something has to change, and part of him bristles at it. Why should he be the one to change, when he feels like the one keeping everything running?

He is not looking for help, and he is not sure he believes in it. And yet, underneath the anger, he has begun to wonder whether the way he has been living is quietly costing him the people he loves most.

Where is God in all of this?

Where is God in all of this?

John* is losing his marriage and his father in the same season. The divorce has flattened him, and hospice has put a number on the days he has left with his dad.

Grief arrives without warning. Worry has always lived close for John, and now it pushes him toward anything that might dull the ache for an evening.

In the quiet, he asks the question he can barely say aloud. Where is God in all of this? It is not a loss of faith. It is faith, looking for somewhere to stand.

When arriving feels like emptiness

When arriving feels like emptiness

Neha* has always been the one who succeeds. Top of her class in India. A standout when she came to the United States. Now, she's in a respected role at a Fortune 500 company.

She did everything right and reached everything she aimed for. And yet she wakes up hollow, burnt out, worn down by the very life she fought to build.

The ache underneath is honest, even if she cannot yet name it. Arriving was supposed to feel like more than this.

A lifetime of faith, a heart in the dust

A lifetime of faith, a heart in the dust

Joanne* is in her late sixties and still working, tired in a way sleep does not reach. Her adult children have grown distant. Her marriage hangs by a thread.

Her childhood was heavy with loss and rejection, and the ache of it followed her. She found Jesus as a teenager, and her faith has been the truest thing in her life ever since.

And still her own worth lies in the dust, buried under regret. She has believed in grace for everyone but herself, and the truth is she is tired of carrying a verdict God never handed down.

You were made to be oriented

On every map, true north is the fixed point everything else is measured against. It does not move. It tells you where you actually are.

Spiritual true north is a life oriented around love, joy, and peace, a life of integrity and real connection. Yours is yours alone, and most of us lose sight of it somewhere in the seasons that wear us thin.

You are as valuable to God as the most precious thing in all creation. When that truth travels from your head to your heart, everything else begins to reorient around it.

Hi, I'm Heather.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn toward people in their hardest seasons, the ones that do not resolve in a single conversation. I am a licensed clinical social worker, a Gen-X wife, and the mother of a teenager. I have walked through more than a few of those seasons myself.

What you will find with me is a warm, relational style and a space where you can finally exhale and pay attention to what really matters. The people who love you mean well, and still, some things are easier to sort through with someone trained to help you carry them, whether that is grief, anxiety, depression, or trauma.

As a Christian, I understand all of it through a biblical worldview. I do not believe we are simply good people who need to look within to find our own way home. We are made for more than that, and real grace and healing come from God, the power from above that meets us in our weakest places.

My hope is simple. I want to help you discover, or rediscover, that power and get your life back.

On the other side of therapy

Mark

Mark let himself look honestly at his resistance to change. He came to understand what was really driving his behavior, and he began making his own choices instead of digging in against someone else's. This time the changes held, and he started filling the empty places in his life with relationships that intrinsically matter to him.

John

John found a place to grieve without being rushed. He learned to feel the pain without drowning in it, and instead of pulling him from God, his loss drew him nearer. The worry loosened, and he stopped losing today to the weight of the past and the fear of tomorrow.

Neha

Neha slowed down enough to hear herself again. She reconnected with what she valued, learned to name what she needed, and made room for rest without guilt. From that steadier place, she found the courage to change her career and step out of the burnout for good.

Joanne

Joanne began to see the beliefs she absorbed as a child, the quiet verdicts of never good enough and unlovable. She learned to separate what was true then from what is true now. Her faith and sense of worth began, at last, to move toward each other.

Names and stories are fictionalized composites of real people I have been honored to walk alongside.

You cannot turn a ship that is standing still

Real change asks something of you, and most of us wait until staying the same finally hurts more than moving would.

That moment is a window. When the pain of staying the same outweighs the fear of changing, you have a chance to turn toward the life you were made for. I would be glad to help you make that turn.

Wherever you are today, the next step is yours to take.
